The Synagogue in Keszthely is found in the depth of the yard of Pethő House which was built around 1870 on the place of the standing tabernacle on the basis of the plans of Kristóf Hofstätter who was the court architect of the Festetics. The Synagogue was built according to the oldest regulations, deeper level of the surrounding ground level.

Originally it represents neoclassic characteristics, however later in 1852 it was converted and in 1894 it was extended with an eclectic frontage. Originally it was approachable from 5 Fejér Gy Street.
